About our Company

Fifth Day Accessories Limited is a New Zealand registered company based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Company Number: 3015860

Where we started

Fifth Day started supplying avian identification equipment around 2002. It was born out of our frustration trying to get banding equipment in New Zealand. We imported some products for our own birds and liked them so much that we started selling it ourselves.

Since those early days, things have really taken off. Amongst our customers we have clubs, major breeders, commercial breeders, regional councils, government departments and wildlife parks.

We started with a mission to bring the largest selection of leg bands to New Zealanders and Australians.

As the business has grown, so has our range of equipment. New Zealand has been poorly served due to our small population, and as a result, we have sought to find hard-to-find quality products at reasonable prices. We stand behind our products; we don’t sell junk, and most of the equipment we sell we use ourselves. We are birdy people, and have bred Shavers, Silkies, Pekins, Quail, Finches, and Canaries.

We pride ourselves in bringing a fast, easy, enjoyable shopping experience and most importantly, unbeatable prices for all our products.

We originally started out as Avila Limited. However, several much larger organisations had names similar to ours. I like to think that they copied us! So to set ourselves apart from them, we adopted ‘Fifth Day’. Why Fifth Day? The answer lies in Genesis 1:21
